Dainik Bhaskar strengthens presence in Hindi belt with six new editions

Dainik Bhaskar is in an expansion mode and has launched six editions in Chhattisgarh; Bhilai, Jagdalpur and Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh; Shimla in Himachal Pradesh; and Pali and Nagpur in Rajasthan. All these editions were launched on April 19, 2008.

Officials from Dainik Bhaskar could not be contacted for further information on the launches at the time of filling this report.

Dainik Bhaskar and Gujarati daily Divya Bhaskar have a presence in nine states with 37 editions and have a total of 26.7 million readers. According to the Indian Readership Survey 2007 R-2, Dainik Bhaskar, with an average issue readership of 12.8 million, is the second most-read newspaper in India, the first being Dainik Jagran, which has a readership of 16.5 million.
