After Kanpur, Lucknow and Meerut, Inext launches Agra and Varanasi editions

Encouraged by positive responses that it received in Kanpur, Lucknow and Meerut, Inext, the compact daily of Jagran Prakashan Ltd (JPL), is launching its fourth and fifth edition in Agra and Varanasi, respectively. While the Agra edition was launched on November 26, the Varanasi edition would be launched on November 27.
Sanjay Gupta, CEO and Chief Editor, Jagran Group, said, “It is the overwhelming success of Inext in Kanpur, Lucknow and Meerut that encouraged us to bring out five editions within a period of one year, with a few more in the pipeline. The people of Agra and Varanasi are eagerly waiting for the new daily, thanks to a 360-degree campaign titled ‘Hum hai naye, andaaz kyun ho purana’, which connects with the TG. The campaign includes outdoor, print, radio, road shows and cable scrollers on TV, among others.”
Added Shailesh Gupta, Director, JPL, “Inext fits well in our scheme of things since it caters to a upwardly mobile segment of readers who are youthful in their approach towards life, and are ready to experiment with the offerings – be it news, lifestyle, fashion, housing or food. It gives us an opportunity to approach marketers who have not been able to tap the potential that metros in UP offer, be it Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, etc. At the same time, it creates value for the shareholders too through creating the second most successful print media brand in its market.”
Alok Sanwal, Project Head, Inext, commented, “Inext will entice readers of Agra and Varanasi too by its refreshingly different type of news and features, compared to the daily broadsheets, in terms of news packaging, along with its contemporary look and feel. Inext is a news daily targeted at the ‘young at heart’, published by the ‘young at heart’, and driven by the same thought.” © exchange4media 2007
